My Latest Youtube Upload "Let It Be Me"

During the process of rediscovering my favorite English oldies (again thanks to the Radio HK Radio 5 music program that I mentioned in an earlier post for jogging my memory), I've found through more research on Youtube that a number of popular English oldies actually came from French originals. They include: "Autumn Leaves" ("Les Feuilles Mortes"), "I Will Follow Him" ("Chariot"), "My Way" ("Comme d'habitude"), "If You Go Away" ("Ne Me Quitte Pas"), "Yesterday When I Was Young" ("Hier Encore"), "All Over the World" ("Dans Le Monde Entier").

I've just uploaded to Youtube another popular song that also came from a French original: "Let It Be Me" ("Je t'appartiens"). Here's the video for sharing:-

Happy New Year!

To celebrate the first day in 2014, I've added a heart-warming love song "Speak Softly Love" to my list of uploads on Youtube. As Lord Tennyson once said: "It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."

Here's the updated playlist "My Uploads":-

More Music Videos

Since my last post, I've created four more music videos. The one I'm most satisfied with is "One Day in Your Life" by Michael Jackson.

One Day In Your Life by Michael Jackson

Forever In Love (a saxophone piece by Kenny G)

Out Here On My Own by Irene Cara

Both Sides Now by Hayley Westenra

Hope you'll enjoy my videos!

Music Videos with On-screen Lyrics

At last I've learned how to use Windows Movie Maker to put lyrics on the screen. The "Captions" function is cool! But the syncing of the lyrics display with the tune requires a little patience.

My latest creations with on-screen lyrics:-

Stranger on the Shore by Andy Williams

What Is A Youth by Glen Weston (from the movie "Romeo and Juliet")

The Hourglass Song (Blue Balloon) by Robby Benson (from the movie "Jeremy")

My Amateurish Music Videos

I've lately been filled with listlessness (which I blame on the medication to deal with my high blood pressure), but at the same time have a strong urge to engage myself in creative ways. So, while taking baby steps in learning to use Windows Movie Maker to create music videos out of some of my favorite songs, I started collecting some music MP3 files and nagging my cousins/friends to let me use scenery photos from their precious collections.

Now I would like to share the first three of my dilettante attempts:-

"You Don't Know Me" by Patti Page

"Misty" by Johnny Mathis

"Reality" by Richard Sanderson

Feedback on these videos and/or tips on improvement would be most welcome and appreciated. I'm dying to know how to overlay song lyrics on the moving photos - I tried Youtube's "Add captions" function, but the result is not satisfactory at all.
